Ash Williams, the main character of the series.
For detailed information about this series, see: Evil Dead Wiki
Evil Dead, also known as The Evil Dead, is a series of horror movies created by Sam Raimi, which also spawned works in other media as well.
The series focuses on Ashley "Ash" J. Williams as he fights against the Deadites, undead parasitic demons created by the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, an ancient Sumerian text that reawakens the dead when it's read aloud.
Note that works titled "Army of Darkness" are still considered part of the series even if they don't have "Evil Dead" in the title, because of the plot being largely the same. The same also applies to works called "Ash" after the main protagonist (the only case actually being the comic Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash).
