Robot is a video game series created by Nintendo that involves R.O.B. (or, "Robot" in Japan), an accessory for the NES/Famicom. While the games were localized as Gyromite and Stack-Up for the international releases, the titles of the games in Japan contain the same naming-scheme "Robot _____".
In-universe, it's stated that the R.O.B. was created by professors Hector and Vector, characters from the series who also command it during gameplay, so the robot itself and the events from the games are supposed to exist in the same fictional universe. For this reason, appearances of R.O.B. as a living robot count as in-universe links, and appearances of him as a gaming accessory count as sub-universe links.
Video Games
- Robot Block (July 26th, 1985) for NES. Named on the covers outside of Japan as Stack-Up.
- Robot Gyro (August 13th, 1985) for NES. Named on the covers outside of Japan as Gyromite.
