Preacher is a comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, published by Vertigo, an imprint of DC Comics.
The series tells the story of Jesse Custer, a preacher in the small Texas town of Annville, who was accidentally possessed by the supernatural creature named Genesis in an incident which killed his entire congregation and flattened his church.
The series was adapted for a television series by Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen for AMC.
