For detailed information about this series, see: Official WWE Website
World Wrestling Entertainment, commonly abbreviated to WWE (previously World Wrestling Federation/WWF), is an American professional wrestling promotion company.
Despite being a sports-based series, WWE has fictional narrative framing for each of its shows, telling a fictional narrative that continues throughout, with the superstars being larger-than-life personas played by real people under fictional monikers. The series also features fictional locations and characters possessing various powers.
As WWE (then WWF) purchased the assets of World Championship Wrestling (or WCW), as well as Extreme Championship Wrestling (or ECW) following their shutdowns, the fictional links connected to WCW and ECW will also be listed on this page, treated as links to the overarching WWE universe.
Only links to the fictional depictions of the WWE Superstars will be listed. Signs held up by fans in the crowds of WWE matches do not count as fictional links, due to their unofficial nature.
