A lot of our most active editors contributed, and as a result, we were able to get a good baseline on what Wiki users want for formatting. I've noticed there are a few series pages on the wiki that don't include certain words in their titles. For example, *THE* Lion King is just "Lion King", or "*A* Nightmare on Elm Street" is just "Nightmare on Elm Street", and so on. I figured this was only because otherwise they'd show up in the wrong sections of categories (e.g. The Lion King would show up in the T section, rather than the L section), and while that's true, some pages such as The Simpsons use text only being added to The Simpsons in May of this year, which just makes me more curious about Lion King's name in the first place. We started from Fortnite and used this wiki and other sources to eventually list 4867 connected fictional universes

I'm planning on adding the flash game "Nitrome Must Die" the Nitrome crossover nexus into the wiki, alongisde creating pages for any Nitrome links because i love the company. There are obvious type 1 links of enemies and bosses appearing inside of the game. But i was wondering, Are Twin Shot arrows, Ninja stars from Final Ninja, Canary lasers a type 1 link? Of course, i won't make links with every single weapon, some of the origins of them are ambiguous. Like the Fart gun, Fireball or Bubble. I'm covering the page for the game Fraymakers, which is set to release pretty soon. The way it's going to work is that it will release as a private "tester build" available only to specific Kickstarter backers, after which it will eventually release publicly as an early access game.

So my question there is that, what do we count as the release date? The tester build will be the first time the game gets into anyone's hands, but the early access build will be the first time it's available publicly.

So there's a character named The Baz who's whole gimmick is just being a character in various different indie games. I kind of want to make his own designated page describing all of his connections but I'm not entirely sure how to go about it. He's inspired by a scrapped Street Fighter character but besides that He doesn't really originate from any one series. I'm not entirely sure if this is the way to do this since I'm extremely new to all this wiki stuff. I've been wanting to do what I can though so I was wondering about something with the connection between A Hat in Time and Here Comes Niko. I thought if there was connections in the two games referencing each other the arrow would go both ways, since the protagonist is in Here Comes Niko and the stickers are in A Hat in Time. So this means theres something from Here Comes Niko appearing in A Hat in Time and something in A Hat in Time appearing in Here Comes Niko. I don't know if anyone else has this but I've had some weird stuff happen. The first problem is that sometime the website completely shuts down which has happened twice in as many days and sometime specific pages shut down. And the other thing is that the badges are acting up. Sometimes they don't count things, then they count it all at once or other times just never count it. Also for some reason for the badge that says edit the wiki 5 days in a row added 2 to its tally in one day. I'm just saying this to bring it to someone's attention to either fix it if it's on your end or tell me what i'm doing wrong if it's on mine.

Since I recently made that big blog post about amiibo, I take the occasion to explain some crossover rules about amiibo. I'm sure many of you already figured them out, but I think I never wrote them anywhere, so I thought I might as well do here. Recently I made research on amiibo for the Super Smash Bros. "X" pages, but finding the earliest release date for each figure was a chore every time, so I finally went and did a complete research listing the release date for each one of them, for future reference. I've been thinking about how to consider pages for series by Marvel and DC. Currently, only out-of-company crossovers are included for the most part, but that was just the way things naturally came to be, it was never explicitly decided.

Ok it took me a while to decide to write this post, because I wanted to make the Ready Player One page, but right now I don't have time to do a frame by frame analysis of the movie, so I postponed that. But I did watch the movie, and I wanted to let you know what I think about it. I mean from a crossover perspective, in case anybody else wanted to write the page in the meantime.

The saga of the redlink removal continues!!

After a lot of tought and some tries, I basically changed my mind on the thing.

Just to put you up to speed in case you haven't read my previous posts: I removed redlinks in the tables by using the #ifexist function to smartly only link the pages that exist, however that function can only be called 100 times in each page, meaning it will stop working past a certain point, and pages won't be linked. At first I decided to basically leave things as they are now, but also add split tables in different subpages.

Well, I think I came up with a better idea: I created three new templates

• L1 will automatically link the series name in the table.
• L2 will automatically link the detailed link page (the "X" page).

Ok after doing some thinking I settled on a solution for the table of links in series' pages. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, this is a follow up on this blog post. The gist is that I changed the "L" template so that now only series and "X" pages that actually exist on the site will be linked, therefore removing redlinks, however this has a limit: only the first 49 rows in the table will be correctly linked, past that there won't be any link. Pages that exceed the limit are easily found because they're automatically added to this category.

In that blog post I proposed 5 solutions, including to increase the limit, but since that's basically impossible to me (I'd have to actually access a file in the Wikia servers and edit it), I…

Hurray! I've finally managed to do what I've wanted to do for a long time: removing redlinks from the table in each series page. This is a victory to me because it took me a long time to find the correct way to do so, and it's also an arguably big change in the feel of each page.

Basically, the "L" template, used to create new rows in the tables, instead of linking everything automatically, it only links pages that it knows exist.

Now, with this said, I believe it's not an objectively right choice. I do prefer the site this way, but I have some doubts. I think it's messy to have so many redlinks, but I can think of two specific benefits from them: 1-adding a page is easier by just clicking on the redlink; 2-not having redlinks makes it imposs…

As you all probably know, some productions save money by using footage from other works in theirs. I do not believe these create a crossover between anything that uses the same or similar footage from the same work. Here are some examples of when stock footage gave me a headache.
