Batman is a superhero series by DC Comics.

The series follows Bruce Wayne, a wealthy playboy and philanthropist who swore vengeance against criminals after witnessing the murder of his parents Thomas and Martha as a child. Training himself physically and intellectually ever since that tragic night, he dons the identity of Batman, watching over the crime-infested streets of Gotham City at night as he strike fear into the hearts of criminals. Batman faces a variety of foes ranging from common criminals to outlandish supervillains, including Clayface, the Penguin, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, the Riddler, Two-Face, Killer Croc, Bane, and his arch-enemy, The Joker.
