For detailed information about this series, see: Hulk at Marvel Database
Hulk, also known as The Incredible Hulk, is a superhero comic book series by Marvel.
The series follows Bruce Banner, a socially withdrawn physicist with a traumatic childhood that caused him to develop dissociative identity disorder. Following his accidental exposure to gamma rays during the detonation of an experimental bomb that brought his suppressed alters to the surface, when subjected to emotional stress, Banner physically transforms into an immense, green-skinned brute called the Hulk, possessing a limitless degree of physical strength and rage, often leading to destructive rampages and conflicts that complicate Banner's civilian life. Despite this, he tries his best to do what's right while battling villains such as the Leader, the Abomination, the Absorbing Man, and more. Along with the childlike Savage Hulk, Banner primarily manifests himself through other personalities: Las Vegas enforcer Joe Fixit, the idealized and well-balanced Professor Hulk, the misanthropic Devil Hulk, and Worldbreaker Green Scar.
